Visual Arts Extravaganza

Posted on: August 3rd 2015

In the second week of the school holidays 45 students participated in the Visual Arts Extravaganza, where students were able to develop their art and craft skills. One of the activities involved a modern twist on the traditional skill of quilling. The paper quills were then used to make colourful photo frames.

Students also experimented with mono, poly and lino printing techniques and explored 3D making to create postcards and maps on the theme of Manchester and ‘Where I Live’.

Students of all ages enjoyed the opportunity to experiment with art techniques, make new friends and get to know SGS a little better. We hope to see many of them at future SGS Summer Schools.
