YEAR 10 STUDENT ED IRVING SELECTED FOR ENGLAND HANDBALL’S U16 NATIONAL ACADEMY SQUAD

After being introduced to Handball in PE lessons at Sale Grammar, Ed Irving sought a Handball Club to continue his enjoyment of the sport.  He went on to join the Warrington Wolves Handball Club in 2014 and train with the Cheshire County Squad. Ed was selected for the Greater Manchester U16 County Squad as well as the North West Regional Academy the following year.

Ed and his Greater Manchester Team mates won the U16 National County Finals in January this year and following the Regional Championships at the Stoke Mandeville Stadium in February Ed has been selected to join England Handball’s U16 National Academy.  He will have the opportunity to represent England U16s in Hungary in August .
