Further to the Year 8 Parents’ Information Evening, we are running a family learning project for Year 8 students and their families, focussing on revision and study skills.
Activities like revision predominantly take place at home and in the past many parents have expressed an interest in gaining a better understanding themselves to allow them to support revision more effectively.
Therefore we are holding some ‘study and revision skills’ family learning sessions after school in the final half term of this year. Each session will be limited to a maximum of 10 students with one family member only. Thank you for interest in attending the session on:
Wednesday 1st March – 4.30pm
The session will look at simple strategies that will allow more effective learning at home, it will also introduce some different revision techniques that can be utilised towards the end of the year, but more importantly as they move into Year 9.
We expect the session to last between 60 and 90 minutes
To register your place, please complete your details on the form below.
Each session is limited to 10 students with one family member only and participants will be enrolled on a 1st come, 1st served basis.
At the bottom of this page you will also find a copy of the ‘Learningtolearn’ newsletter, the first in an occasional series that help share study tips and tricks with home.
