AGGS RE Debate

Dear Parent/Carer,

As part of the Gifted and Talented programme we would like to offer your son/ daughter the opportunity of attending and / or participating in a debate at Altrincham Girls Grammar School on 22nd March 2010. As abortion is included as a topic in the Christian Perspectives on Moral and Social issues, the subject of the debate will be "This House believes abortion to be a sin" and our students will be opposing the motion. Students will be expected to be informed about the issue and will develop the skills of reasoned argument and debate. There will be an opportunity to prepare students before the event but it promises to be a lively and informed discussion.

Students will be taken via minibus from school at 3.15pm. The debate is due to start at 4.00pm and parents/carers should collect their son/daughter at 5.00pm from Altrincham Girls Grammar, Cavendish Road, Bowden, Altrincham WA14.
