Easter Animation Workshop 2010
Our community team have been busy holding an art camp for Gifted and Talented Year 9 pupils over the Easter holidays. The students were given the opportunity to create their own ‘Wallace and Grommit' style stop frame animations. Initially, they were asked to design their own storyboards based on an animal story of their choice. The designs were then short listed and the winning selections were given the chance to come to life as a real animation. The supervising artist Adela Jones plans to broadcast the winning animation in a loop at the ‘New Children's Hospital' in Manchester. Mrs. Bedford said "It was truly a unique experience for everyone involved and Nick Park would surely be proud of our budding young artists".
