Athletics Competition Year 8 & 9

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am pleased to inform you that your son/daughter has been selected to represent the school in the Greater Manchester Schools Indoor Athletics, at the Regional Athletics Arena, Sportcity on Friday 16th April 2010.

The pupils will be travelling to the competition by school mini bus, leaving school at 1.15pm. The championships are scheduled to start at 2.00pm and finish at 3.30pm-4.00pm. Pupils will meet at the sportshall at the start of lunchtime to get changed into their PE kit and therefore will miss registration and period 5. Students need to bring a packed lunch and a drink and are also advised to bring a warm top and tracksuit bottoms to wear before and after the race (spikes can be worn for the race). Parents are welcome to watch and are encouraged to provide transport home or back to school after the event. Although the school mini-bus will be returning to school.
