Basketball Competition

Dear Parents/Carers,

If the Year 10/11 basketball squad continue with their rich vein of success and win the next two matches on Monday 1 March (Semi Final vs North Cestrian) and Tuesday 2 March (Trafford Final), then they will have qualified for the Greater Manchester Schools Basketball Finals.

I am writing to inform you that your son will be selected in the squad to represent the school at the Amaechi Centre on Friday 5 March 2010. Parents and guests are welcome to support the team at the tournament.

The pupils will leave school at 2.15pm and return at approximately 6.30pm. The tournament is scheduled to start at 3.00pm. I will be transporting and supervising the pupils to and from the fixture. The squad will meet at the sportshall to get changed at 2.00pm and therefore miss registration and period 5. All pupils need to arrive to school in full school uniform, complete with drinks, tracksuit and trainers for the journey, and their usual basketball equipment.
