Business Studies Workshop

Dear Parent/Carer,

The Business Studies Department is intending to take the Year 12 students to a workshop at Chester University's Business School (Warrington Campus). The aim of the workshop is to give students an opportunity to work in teams to undertake a business activity. This should help students to develop their awareness of the business processes which need to be considered when making decisions. It should also help to improve students' team working, presentation and communication skills. Students who have gone on to apply for Business and Management courses have included their attendance on this trip on their UCAS application form to help justify the reasons for their choice of course.

The visit will be taking place on Tuesday 13th July. We will be leaving school at 9.15 am and returning at approximately 3.15 pm. We will be travelling to the University by minibus/taxi. The University will provide a free lunch. Students may miss some classes as a result of this trip and they must ensure that they copy up any work missed and complete any homework set in their absence.
