Cashless Dining

We are pleased to announce that Sale Grammar School is installing a cashless catering system in September 2010. The new system will allow us to provide a more efficient and ultimately better quality of service.

The new system incorporates the latest technology and eliminates the need to carry cash throughout the day thus reducing the risk of loss. It is also biometric so there is no need to carry a card as the system will recognise the thumb of your child at the tills and balance points.

Many schools use this kind of system including a number in Trafford.

We will start operating the system on Monday 6th September. From this day no cash will be accepted at the till points.

Registration of student details will take place on the 13th July 2010.

Any amount of money can be paid into your account, with the money spent on food and drink deducted on a daily basis.

We have three methods of payment option available to you, online payments using ParentPay or PayPoint payments at your local convenience store. Payment by cheque will be accepted until the end of the autumn term.

Students will be able to check the balance of their accounts by going to student services where there will be a remote station available.

There will be a daily ‘spend limit' programmed into the system of £4.00, this can be increased or decreased for an individual student by making a written request to the school Finance Office.
