Economics Conference MMU

Dear Parent/Carer,

The Business Studies & Economics Department is intending to take Year 13 Economics students to an Economics Sixth Form conference at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) on Friday 23rd April. MMU staff from the Department of Economics will be hosting the day.

Students will be given advice on future careers in Economics, how to improve their Economics grades and they will participate in an Economics Question time. Registration is at the Mabel Tylecote Building on Cavendish Street at 9.30am and the day will finish around 3.15pm. Students are expected to arrange their own travel arrangements and meet outside the venue at 9.25am. They will be dismissed from the venue at 3.15pm.

The trip is free but students will have to pay for their transport and lunch. Refreshments are provided for students during the interval. There is a lunch break from 12.30pm to 1.30pm during which students may leave the building and get something to eat. They will be re-registered upon returning from lunch.
