German Speaking Countries

I am hoping to run a visit to the German-speaking countries at the end of July. The aims of the visit are as follows:

• to provide further insight into and experience of German-speaking countries and cultures.
• to provide the opportunity to see many places and geographical features, that pupils may have come across in their lessons.
• to provide the opportunity to practise the spoken language.

In order to maximize the ‘German' impact of the visit, we shall try to use German whenever possible as the language of communication for everyday activities.

The visit is aimed primarily at Year 9 pupils but, if the number of places available were to exceed the number of Year 9 pupils wishing to participate, other pupils who study German at school would also be welcome to apply for a place.
