Leeds University Open Day

Dear Parent/Carer,

The Year 12 pastoral team is intending to take all the Year 12 students to an Open Day at Leeds University. The aim of the day is to give students an opportunity to investigate courses and get a feel for university life including accommodation and study facilities. This should help students to develop their awareness of the university application process which forms part of Active Learning Week. Whilst we are aware that not all students are intending to go to university at the end of their A levels, we feel that the trip would offer them a useful insight into the possibility of Higher Education which may take place later in life.

The visit will be taking place on Friday, 25thJune. We will be leaving school at 8.00am and returning at approximately 4.00pm. We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £10.00 per student to cover the cost of transport and insurance. Please refer to the back of this letter for information relating to voluntary contributions as the visit may not proceed if the costs incurred cannot be met from voluntary contributions. All contributions can be made via ParentPay or PayPoint, details of which have already been sent out to all parents/carers.
