I am writing to inform you that on Wednesday 3rd March 2010 the whole of year 7 will be taken on a trip to Manchester with the Humanities Faculty. While they are there they will be visiting Manchester Cathedral, taking a walking tour around the regenerated area around the Printworks, John Ryland's Library and the Imperial War museum.
The trip will be taking place during the school day and will return to school at 3:15pm. Pupils will be expected to wear full school uniform (including wet weather clothing), bring a pencil case and a packed lunch. We will be travelling into Manchester via coach with Coach Finder which we use for other school trips.
Pupils can bring cameras but mobile phones and iPods/ MP3's are NOT permitted. As you can see from the schedule we will not have time to look in the shops and therefore pupils will not need to bring large amounts of spending money. There is a small shop in the Imperial War Museum if pupils want to purchase souvenirs.
