Sale Grammar's first Digital Surgery

Sale Grammar School students in 10R got the chance to talk to the Leader of Trafford Council, Sean Anstee, today. Taking part in the schools first Digital Surgery, students were able to ask Councillor Anstee a variety of questions ranging from, issues about Sale town centre to, the role of the metro mayor. The students have been working on this venture in conjunction with the Politics Project, an independent education charity that specialises in democratic education. The 'Digital Surgeries' programme has been launched to combat negative stereotypes surrounding politics and, enable young people to and politicians to have meaningful conversations about issues that matter. Year 12 students will also get the chance to participate in the project at the end of the month and ask their probing questions to a Member of Parliament.
