_{The Music Department started their busy summer season in June with a joint concert at the Waterside with Mike Hall and his quartet.  An evening of great music provided by the Swing Band and Mike’s band ensured we all enjoyed Duke Ellington’s back catalogue thoroughly.  We have entertained audiences closer to home in July with our annual KS3 summer recital evening, which was full of talented soloists and duets from Years 7-9.  The entertainment ended with an impromptu all fresco summer concert which unfortunately had to move swiftly inside as the rain had other ideas.  The concert was a showcase of the ensembles from this year and included music from Les Miserables, The Greatest Showman and many more other wonderful pieces of music.  The Drama Department worked closely with the Music Department to put on an ambitious show of Peter and the Wolf accompanied by full orchestra.  Well done to all those involved and we are looking forward to next year already!}
