Sixth Form Information Evening

We are delighted to invite students who wish to join our Sixth Form in September 2024 to our Sixth Form Information Evening which will be held on Thursday 12th October 2023.
We are a vibrant, supportive and welcoming Sixth Form that aims to foster a life-long love of learning and prepare our students for the next step in their lives, whether that be Higher Education or the world of work.
The Sixth Form Information Evening is an important step in your transition from GCSE to A-Level. On the evening, subject talks will be delivered by members of staff on the different A-Levels we offer and these talks are therefore vital in helping you select the right subjects to study in the Sixth Form. In addition, you will be able to hear about our Academic Enrichment Courses (EPQ, Perspectives on Science and Core Maths).
For those new to the school, an introductory talk will be held in the Main Hall from 5.00 pm – 5.25 pm led by Mrs Smith, Headteacher, and Miss Mattox, Assistant Headteacher (Sixth Form). Here, you will be introduced to our Sixth Form and our Sixth Form offer.
A similar talk will also be available at a different time on the evening for those students who are currently in Year 11 at Sale Grammar School.
You must register to attend the evening prior to the event by completing our Sixth Form Information Evening Registration Form, which can be accessed below. The form will ask you to select up to five subject talks that you wish to attend and, for those currently studying with us in Year 11, whether or not you would like to attend an introductory talk during the evening. You can find a list of our A-Level subjects and Academic Enrichment Courses below.
Each student who has registered to attend will then be sent a bespoke timetable for the evening, with times for you to attend the specific talks you have requested. This will be sent directly to you on Tuesday 10th October 2023, and will be sent to the email address you provide on the Sixth Form Information Evening Registration Form.
Please note that applications for entry to our Sixth Form for September 2024 will open on Monday 16th October 2023 after the Sixth Form Information Evening, so at this stage the form below is for registration to attend the Information Evening only.
The registration form to attend the evening will close at 5:00pm on Wednesday 4th October 2023.
