Sale Grammar School student Chloe Jackson has taken first prize in the Manchester Metroplitan University 2020 A Level French Translation Competition!  A huge congratulations to her from all of us - we are so very, very proud!!

The competition is an annual event for the French section of the Department of Languages, Information and Communications at MMU, and Chloe's task was to translate an excerpt from the Larousse Junior Cookbook. 

The compeition aims to promote language learning through French popular culture and Chloe showed great skill in tackling the challenges of translating a range of grammatical structures, colloquial expressions and cultural references into authentic English.
