Year 8 & 9 Gifted and Talented Music students and Year 10 GCSE Music students visited the Bridgewater Hall on 3^rd March to attend a concert on ‘Science, Revolution and Music’ performed by the Hallé Orchestra. Presenter Tom Redmond talked the students through the instruments of the orchestra and how they produce their sound before the Hallé Orchestra played a varied programme from Strauss Also Sprach Zarathustra, Wagner Ride of the Valkyries and John Williams Superman: March to video gaming music from Angry Birds and Final Fantasy. All the students thoroughly enjoyed the concert with one student describing it as ‘awesome’.
