Careers Information, Education and Guidance: Parental Engagement

In December 2017 the Department for Education released a white paper challenging all schools to provide effective careers education.

We are proud of our comprehensive Skills for Life curriculum; indeed, we are already meeting many of the benchmarks identified by the Department for Education as comprising effective careers provision. However, one area we hope to develop further, relates to meaningful employer encounters within the curriculum, and it is with this in mind that I write to you.

We are passionate about delivering the very best teaching and learning experience for our students and we recognise the value of using external speakers within our curriculum to bring learning to life and to provide a very real link to the world in which we live.

If you feel that you would like to contribute to the development of employer encounters within teaching and learning at Sale Grammar School we would very much like to speak to you.

We intend on developing as many links as possible with as broad a range of industries as possible and are hoping to develop a database of 100+ contacts to support this initiative.
